Sarawak Entrepreneur Launches AI-Powered Fuel Intelligence Startup Backed by Silicon Valley

MALAYSIA, AUGUST 2026 — Sarawak entrepreneur Aaron Nagai has launched PetrolPrice, an AI-powered fuel intelligence platform that tracks and analyses fuel prices across 196 markets worldwide.

The startup is backed by Balaji Srinivasan, Founder of Network School and former Chief Technology Officer of Coinbase, through the Balaji Fund. The investment values PetrolPrice at US$2 million following its pre-seed funding round.

Founded by Nagai, PetrolPrice is an AI-powered energy intelligence platform that tracks, verifies and analyses the prices of essential energy commodities around the world, including petrol, diesel and electricity. By combining artificial intelligence with automated data collection, the platform makes energy price information more transparent and accessible for consumers, businesses and policymakers.
