1. Service description
PitchMyStory provides a managed press release review and media-submission service. Publication is considered by participating outlets and is not guaranteed.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You are responsible for accurate account information, password security and activity under your account.
3. Article ownership and image rights
You retain ownership of submitted material. You confirm that you own or are authorised to submit the article and image, and grant the permissions needed to review, format, transmit and publish them.
4. Prohibited content and accuracy
Do not submit illegal, defamatory, hateful, plagiarised, deceptive or rights-infringing content. Claims, sources and disclosures must be accurate. We may reject material during internal review.
5. Editorial adjustments and outlet approval
You permit reasonable formatting and editorial adjustments. Material changes require your involvement. Each outlet makes its own approval decision and may apply its standard press release disclosure.
6. Timelines and no-response cases
Turnaround estimates are not deadlines or guarantees. If an outlet does not respond, you may continue waiting, select an eligible alternative or request an eligible refund.
7. Pricing and payments
Prices are displayed in Malaysian Ringgit and calculated server-side. Taxes are shown if configured. Payments are processed by third-party providers; PitchMyStory does not store raw card details.
8. Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on the outlet configuration, work already performed and the stated policy. Approved refunds may take additional banking time after processing.
9. Alternative outlets
If an alternative costs more, the difference must be paid before resubmission. If it costs less, the refundable difference is recorded. Equal prices transfer the existing allocation.
10. Intellectual property
The PitchMyStory service, brand and interface remain our intellectual property. Publication rights granted to an outlet are governed by the accepted submission terms.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for abuse, fraud, unlawful content or repeated policy breaches. Active order and refund obligations survive where required.
12. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, liability is limited to direct losses and the amount paid for the affected service. We are not responsible for an outlet’s independent acts or decisions.
13. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Production contact details and the registered entity name must be inserted after legal review.
