Malaysia’s Event Industry Gets a New Digital Home with Event Me Now
Malaysian built marketplace aims to bring customers, vendors and the wider event industry into one trusted digital ecosystem built around verification, quotations, availability management, milestone payments and zero platform commission.
KUALA LUMPUR, 7 October 2026 — Malaysia’s event industry has a new homegrown digital platform following the official soft launch of Event Me Now, or EMN, a marketplace created to bring customers, event vendors and industry partners together within one digital ecosystem.
Event Me Now was officially soft launched on 1 October 2026 at St Giles Boulevard Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, bringing together event vendors, hospitality representatives, technology partners and industry stakeholders.
The platform was created around a problem familiar to many Malaysians.
Planning an event can involve searching through social media pages, websites, personal recommendations and numerous WhatsApp conversations before a customer can even begin comparing the right options.
For vendors, the process can be just as fragmented.
Businesses spend time responding to enquiries, preparing quotations, managing availability, following up with customers and coordinating payments across different channels.
Event Me Now was created to bring these moving parts into one digital ecosystem.
The platform currently brings together ten key areas of the event industry, including venues and event spaces, catering and beverages, decoration, entertainment, sound and lighting, photography, videography, makeup and styling, tents, tables and chairs, event planning, transport and car rental, with many more to come as Event Me Now expands its ecosystem.
But EMN is not an event agency.
It operates as a marketplace where vendors remain in control of their own businesses.
Vendors decide their own prices, choose which enquiries they want to respond to and prepare their own quotations.
Event Me Now does not decide which vendor receives a job.
It also does not take a percentage of a vendor’s booking value as platform commission.
“We did not want to build another platform that simply lists vendors,” said Murali Kathegesen, Founder and Managing Director of Event Me Now.
